Jamo has revealed a new £300 subwoofer, the SUB 260.

The compact new device includes a long-throw 8in bass driver housed in a slotted-port cabinet and an amplifier capable of delivering 260 watts of peak power.
The single driver uses a very rigid cone made of composite materials, which Jamo promises will deliver very high excursion with low distortion. The large motor structure features a well-ventilated pole-piece, helping to cool the voice-coil, which the company says increases power handling and reduces distortion by eliminating unwanted mechanical damping and air pressure from the system.
The Jamo SUB 260 will be available from later this month in dark apple or black ash finishes for £300.
