Cable manufacturer IXOS has just released a new clock radio speaker system and iPod dock in one: but it won’t be for everyone.
The quirky-looking device features four drive units on its winged speaker outcrops and a 10-watt RMS amplifier as well as six fixed EQ settings. It can be set to wake you up with your iPod tunes, breakfast radio or an alarm tone. The radio is FM-only though, with no DAB option.
There is however a USB connection so it can be used as a speaker upgrade for laptop or netbook, as well as stereo phono inputs and a 3.5mm headphone jack input for use with other, non-iPod sources.
A flip-down cover for the iPod dock helps protect it when it’s not in use, it’ll charge up your pocket pal when it’s connected and it comes with a remote control with iPod functionality. All for £110.
