IXOS high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet

13 janvier 2010

Cable maker IXOS has launched the high-speed XEN XHT668 ‘next gen’ HDMI cable with support for 3D transmissions and Ethernet connectivity.

The cable is 2160p Quad-HD, meaning it can support resolutions way beyond the current maximum of 1080p and should be capable of handling the 3D content planned for later this year with no loss of quality.

It features IXOS’s own ‘Nitrogen Gas-Injected Polyethylene Dielectric’, designed to maintain the precise impedance to transfer HDMI 1.4 Category 2 with Ethernet signals (so it can connect to other HDMI devices without the need for a separate Ethernet cable) flawlessly and the ultra-high-conductivity silver plated pure crystal oxygen-free copper (PC-OFC) connections should be able to accommodate the increased bandwidth required to transmit Quad-HD (2160p) and 3D digital video. It also has 24K Gold Plated conductors prevent oxidisation for longevity and durability.

The IXOS XEN XHT668 is available now for £130 for a 1.5m length.
