IXOS Divo Sound System finally arrives

6 mai 2010

First announced in February, IXOS’s Divo Sound System has been delayed until now and in the meantime has received an upgrade.

The distinctive looking 2.1 system for computers and iPods now boasts an improved signal-to-noise ratio, reduced click feedback when using the remote control and an improved angle of view of the LCD display. Small improvements perhaps, but at least they haven’t affected the price.

The system is fully ‘Made for iPod’ and will recharge your ‘Pod while syncing it with iTunes. Non-Apple players are catered for via its 3.5mm input. The twin mini-tower speakers include two 50mm bass/mid drivers and a single 15mm tweeter, while the circular subwoofer houses a 155mm driver along with an ’Acoustic Air Spring’ passive radiator.

Frequency response is a respectable 20Hz-20kHz with the onboard amplifier delivering 48 watts total power. This being IXOS there are two sets of speaker cables in the box – one short, one long – for more versatile, tidy placement.

The IXOS Divo is available now for £250.
