US AV furniture brand Fortress Inc has launched its full range of cinema chairs into the UK.
The company has been making high-end home cinema chairs for over 60 years and its range promises a variety of special functions, including motorised recliners and storage arms with drawers. Chairs can even be specified to include the D-Box Motion System, which provides intelligent and movie-studio-sanctioned movement to match the visuals. D-Box has been used in cinemas throughout the US, and there are now 1000+ Blu-ray and DVD movies coded for motion, apparently.
Models in the range include the Moulin Rouge, which can be specified with corner units and fabric skirts, the 1920s-styled Deco and the Odeon-esque Matinee (pictured), which includes a reclining system with leg supports.
Mike Beatty of Pulse Marketing said: “The Fortress range of home cinema seating is the nearest you’ll get to the ‘real thing’ – although these seats are every bit as real as their movie theatre counterparts. For movie fanatics who are serious about recreating the full cinema experience at home, at least one Fortress chair is a must.”
Prices start at £1,550, for the California, with upgrades starting from £90 for stainless steel cupholders to £7,250 for a fully-specced D-Box actuator system.
Fortress is distributed exclusively in the UK by Pulse Marketing.
