Denon UK has announced two new AV receivers for the UK in the shape of the AVR-1611 and AVR-1911.

Both models are part of a broader AV receiver range announced for the US but these two will be specifically tuned for UK tastes. Both come with HDMI 1.4a repeater inputs, so they’ll be able to pass 3D movies from compatible Blu-ray players to suitable TVs, as well as Audio Return Channel and HDMI control.

Other features include Dolby Pro Logic IIz for enhanced vertical and horizontal audio performance, 1080p upconversion for high-definition pictures from DVD and other standard video sources, along with Audyssey Dynamic Volume for real-time volume adjustment, Audyssey MultEQ and Auto Setup.

The lower-cost AVR-1611 (pictured) is a 5.1 box, pumping out 105 watts to each speaker, and comes with four HDMI inputs and one output.

The AVR-1911 is a 7.1 design with 125 watts available for each channel and includes an advanced Anchor Bay Technologies chipset as well as a front panel USB port with iPod/iPhone Digital Direct playback.

The Denon AVR-1611 and AVR-1911 will both be available in July for £350 and £450 respectively.
