Loudspeaker manufacturer Crystal Audio has unveiled its new TX-2 5.1 surround sound speaker package.
Central to the system are THX Ultra2 certified TX-T2SE floorstanding loudspeakers which feature deep, though narrow cabinets, allowing them to deliver impressively low frequencies while appearing to take up little space, the company claims. The dynamic range spans eight octaves (70Hz-18kHz) through its two 16.5cm Kevlar/fibre weave drivers and they include Crystal Audio’s own ‘free air’ 25mm, silk-dome, Neodymium tweeter design, which sits in its own rigid, spherical, aluminium enclosure on top of the cabinets.
Complementing these are the THX Select certified THX-Center channel and the THX-D rear channel speakers offering bipolar radiation from the drivers in phase.
Completing the package is a 200W active sub, with a 30.5cm long throw driver incorporating a treated paper cone.
The Crystal Audio TX-2 system is on sale now in black ash or gloss black finishes for £1,399.
