9 juin 2010

QED, the UK’s foremost manufacturer of specialist hi-fi and home cinema cables, has announced it has reduced the suggested selling prices of all its leading HDMI cables as of 1 June 2010.

In some cases the reduction is as much as 50 per cent of the original recommended price, reflecting the perception that the world-wide economic recession is having an effect on buying habits.

As of now, a 1m length of QED’s Signature HDMI will cost £75 (previously £150), the Reference HDMI is £50 (previously £90) and the Performance HDMI is £50 (previously £35).

Alastair Worlidge, QED product manager at QED’s UK distributor Armour Home said: “We constantly strive to offer high performance products at value for money prices. To put it succinctly, prices of hardware have reduced significantly over recent years and we feel the time is right for cables to follow suit."
