The £350 player incorporates both DAB and FM tuners with 30 station presets and can also be connected to internet radio, as well as sporting an iPod dock and CD player in a single unit.
Its gloss black wooden cabinet is acoustically-tuned and while it doesn’t contain a hard drive, it can record from the radio or CD to an SD card or USB memory stick, and can also stream music from a computer via its Wi-Fi networking connection. For playing back music on a memory card or stick it can handle MP3, WMA, AAC and FLAC formats.
There are separate bass and treble controls, an equaliser with seven settings and touch-panel controls. There’s also an aux input for MP3 playback, plus a clock and dual alarm system.
It can access Last.fm’s online music library and will recommend music based on your previous listening habits.
Connections include a stereo line out, stereo headphone socket, optical digital out and AC adapter.
