Bang & Olufsen has unveiled a stylish new compact subwoofer called the BeoLab 11.

The tulip-shaped cabinet measures 31cm tall, weighs just over 7kg, and claims to be extremely versatile in terms of placement, being equally at home on the floor, in a corner, or even mounted on the wall.

It’s made up of two identical loudspeaker cabinets, each with their 6.5in cones facing each other, separated by a few inches and surrounded by outer shells made of aluminium and available in either natural or white finish.

It’s a fully active design with 200 watts of power on tap and is the first B&O subwoofer to use the company’s acoustic balance principle for reducing the possibility of external vibration.

The Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 11 will be available this month for £1,550.
