Intempo Perform motorised iPod dock

19 avril 2010

Intempo’s latest iPod dock claims to offer something a little unusual. It’s ‘motorised’, which means that it will mechanically lower your iPod into its position in the dock.

The idea is that you place it in the cradle at the top and it’s automatically lowered down into position behind the glass at the front, where it’s protected from any knocks and bumps, which can play havoc with the delicate connection of many docks.

It’s not just an iPod dock though, with FM radio, clock, alarm and sleep functions also on board, as well as a remote control.

It can pump out 30 watts of power and will work with any iPod, though it won’t charge the Shuffle, and you’ll need to use the iPhone in airplane mode.

The Intempo Perform is available now for £130.
