The Chord Company’s latest analogue interconnect is the distinctively green CobraPlus, which the company claims it offers significant improvements over the previous Cobra 3.
The twisted-pair configuration conductors are 22awg multi-strand oxygen-free copper, insulated with a low-density polyethylene. Four runs of soft cotton thread run alongside the insulated conductors providing mechanical damping. All is wrapped with a layer of natural fibre beneath a high-density woven braid shield and a further heavy-gauge foil shield. A soft PVC inner jacket adds further mechanical damping and avoids microphony, while a harder PVC outer protects the overall cable.
The CobraPlus can be supplied terminated in RCA or Din plugs as standard, with other variants available on special order.
