BenQ has expanded its HD projector lineup with three new models: the W6000 (1080p), W1000 (1080p), and W600 (720p).
The one-chip DLP based products include BrilliantColor processing, Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) processing and customisable colour preference to dual HDMI.
BenQ W6000 The W6000 is at the top end of BenQ’s new trio of home projectors.
The different models are aimed at separate market segments, the W6000 is described as a well-equipped contender in the luxury 1080p home cinema segment, the W1000 as a versatile home entertainment 1080p projector and the W600 is a 720p multimedia household model.
As well as 1080p at 24 frames per second, the HQV processing also improves the quality of lower resolution feeds, analogue or digital. Also present are Texas Instruments’ DynamicBlack and Philip’s VIDI lamp technology, delivering a 50,000:1 contrast ratio.
The W6000 also has 10-bit processing, a native Rec.709 colour gamut, custom colour preference, horizontal+vertical lens shift, 1.5:1 zoom ratio, dual HDMI inputs, and Imaging Science Foundation Certified Calibration Configuration (ISFccc). The W6000 can also deliver 2.35:1 via an optional lens kit.
