IsoTek gets its feet wet with the Aquarius

26 novembre 2009

IsoTek’s latest mains conditioning component, Aquarius, is the successor to the company’s popular Mini Sub.

This six-way mains conditioning component has two high-current and four medium-current outlets, all individually filtered and fully isolated from one another, together with a newly designed aluminium casing. A full 16 Amps is available from its two high-current outlets, which IsoTek says ensures musical transients are unrestricted. The company adds that thermo-magnetic fusing contributes to enhanced delivery, as does the use of a 16A IEC C20 inlet to connect Aquarius to the mains, rather than a standard socket.

IsoTek Aquarius The Aquarius delivers 67,500 Amps of instantaneous and repeatable protection.

The four medium-current outlets feature IsoTek’s Adaptive Gating technology – an auto-sensing filter stage that adapts to the current draw of the load, tailoring the filtering process to suit each individual piece of equipment attached. Also new for Aquarius is K.E.R.P. (Kirchoff’s Equal Path of Resistance), a technology developed for IsoTek, which is designed to deliver a pure, symmetrical signal path through the unit, without interference from one socket to the next, helping to deliver a more coherent sound.

Other enhancements include an all-new choke design, incorporating improved magnetic material and enabling increased frequency bandwidth.
