Mains supply specialist IsoTek has announced a new top-of-the-range audio cable for audio systems, the Syncro.
The company claims it’s much more than just another mains cable, with a clutch of new electronic innovations to help improve performance.
The electronics are housed in an anti-resonant aluminium case positioned part way down the cable’s length and the circuitry is designed to synchronise the mains supply in order to promote a perfectly symmetrical sine wave. IsoTek says it won’t take the place of one of its mains conditioners, but is intended as a ‘pre-filter’ device, best used with an IsoTek mains conditioning unit. But perhaps they would say that…
The cable itself is identical to IsoTek’s top-of-the-line Extreme power cable with heavy-gauge, triple-screened, 20-amp oxygen-free copper conductors and top-quality connectors at either end. Both the mains plug and the IEC connector are precision machined from high-purity copper, plated in 24ct gold, deep cryogenically treated and then demagnetised.
The Syncro will be available from April, priced at £875.
