Runco has announced the launch of its QuantumColor Series projectors in the UK.
The two-model series uses the company’s new InfiniLight lampless LED illumination to offer “an infinite light source that creates an energy-efficient projector with the widest colour gamut ever seen in home theatre projection”.
The exceptionally wide colour gamut is attributed to the efficiency of Runco’s own Personal Color Equalizer and SmartColor hue compensation curve but the series also promises unusually long life, since there’s no colour wheel or mechanical iris to wear out, and of course, no lamp to replace.
The QuantumColor Series also claims noteworthy green credentials by apparently using up to 70 per cent less power than conventional projectors, along with its an InstantOn system, which Runco says makes energy-seeping standby mode effectively redundant.
The £17,995 Q-750i comes with everything you need in a single box while the £20,995 Q-750D, comes with Runco’s latest DHD external controller/processor.
