Runco Stick With Plasma Displays

29 avril 2009

Runco have announced that they plan to stick by Plasma displays.

With recent ‘big name’ manufacturers announcing significant changes within their product portfolios, abandoning plasma displays altogether and looking to LCDs or other technologies to fill this void. There has been talk that plasma is dead. That consumers don’t want plasma TVs because they are too expensive and questioning if there is even a difference in video quality and performance.

Runco and the company’s broad network of authorized custom installation CE dealers disagree.

In a statment from the company “Runco, the leading brand in luxury video solutions, today reaffirms its commitment to providing the widest range of plasma and LCD displays that offer the most advanced video technology to achieve cinematic-quality imagery for any room and application; after all, isn’t that what ‘custom’ is all about?”

Runco’s high-performance flat panel lineup offers:

• A refreshed portfolio of plasmas from 50 to 103 inches boasting signature processing and technology enhancements for the most accurate colorimetry available;

• Full-line of 1080p Crystal Series LCDs with screen size ranging from 32 to 70-inches;

• LCDs and plasmas available with Runco’s exclusive OPAL (Optical Path ALignment) technology. When applied to LCDs, OPAL preserves the integrity of the video content in high ambient light that competes with and degrades the images. When applied to plasma, OPAL thrives in darker rooms by enhancing black levels, detail and clarity of the image.

Runco’s CinemaWall XP-50HD, VideoWall VW-100HD, and Crystal Series CX-65HD are now shipping and the CX-OPAL47 will be shipping this month. Pricing varies. Contact a local Runco distributor for additional information.
