High-end hi-fi manufacturer Rotel has announced a new Special Editions range of its entry-level 06 Series of hi-fi components.
Rotel claims that the new range featuring a CD player and three stereo amplifiers contains similar key components and follows the tuning of the company’s flagship 15 Series which launched earlier this year.
Rotel RA-06 SE – Rotel RCD-06 SE
The RCD-06 CD player retains its outer casing, but has had its DAC upgraded from a Burr-Brown to a new model from Wolfson, as well as improvements made to circuits in the filter and buffer stages.
The RA-06 SE stereo amplifier has also received a few tweaks inspired by the 15 Series, including a power supply now decoupled from the input switching and buffer stages, and upgrades to the input filter capacitors in the buffer stages. Similar changes have been made to the less expensive RA-05 and RA-04 amplifiers.
