Altec Lansing has announced the latest addition to its Expressionist PC speaker family – the Expressionist PLUS. The new 2.1 model streamlines the design of the original Expressionist and now features angle-adjustable satellite speakers with 2in drivers.
The cone-shaped, bottom-loaded subwoofer uses a 5.25in long-throw driver for authoritative bass that extends down to 50Hz, even when placed on a desktop. Bass output is controlled by a button to ensure the optimum balance between subwoofer and satellites. It produces a maximum 33 watts of power and connects to PC or MP3 player via 3.5m jack plug. Altec Lansing’s Consumer Marketing Manager Adrian Bedgood, said: “By streamlining the design and making the satellites angle-adjustable, we’ve made it easy for the listener to enjoy a remarkably deep, precise soundstage, no matter what distance or angle they listen from.”
The Expressionist PLUS is available now, priced £80.
