Altec Lansing has released yet another iPod dock with the Octiv 650.

The new dock is a 2.1 stereo design with a 4in downward-firing subwoofer and a pair of full-range 3in drivers.
Around the back are both component and composite video outputs for streaming video directly to your TV, as well as an aux input for connecting a another, non-Apple music player, and it comes with a remote control too.
Also available is a free downloadable app called Music Mood which allows you to customise your listening experience with a seven-band graphic equaliser, as well as multiple presets.
It also includes a selection of “relaxing and ambient videos and sounds”, including a crackling fireplace, ocean waves and gentle rainfall – not unlike Pure Digital’s Pure Sounds, then.
The Altec Lansing Octiv 650 is available now in charcoal black for £170. A slate grey version is due to arrive in June.
