Following in its tradition of quality midrange audio disc spinners, Marantz has announced its latest CD player, the CD6003, which includes technology originally seen in last year’s high-end players.
There’s no SACD compatibility, but it can handle CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs, and there’s also an iPod-compatible USB input, derived from Marantz’s £700 SA8003, allowing you to play MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV audio files.
The solid chassis is strengthened by an additional metal bottom plate to further reduce any nasty vibrations and it features a high-quality CS4398 DAC as well as the HDAM-SA2 internal signal amplifier and gold-plated RCA outputs.
It will be rolling out across Europe later this month, with the price expected to be around €370.
