IsoTek power management products for hi-fi and home cinema systems have been around for many years offering significant improvements but due to the collapse of Spotlyte Ltd, which entered into voluntary liquidation in December 2008, Blue Horizon have now acquired IsoTek.
Keith Martin is the Managing Director of Blue Horizon Ideas Ltd and is formerly a principal founder of the IsoTek brand. Martin left IsoTek in the summer of 2008 to pursue other projects, registering Blue Horizon Ideas as a limited company shortly afterwards.
Commenting on the acquisition of the IsoTek brand, Martin said: “I left IsoTek in 2008 to focus on projects for a new venture – Blue Horizon. However, when the opportunity arose to purchase the IsoTek brand last December, the obvious synergy between Blue Horizon and IsoTek was too compelling to ignore. “IsoTek is a brand with a proven pedigree and has always been close to my heart. We have reassembled IsoTek’s ‘classic’ design team and brought in new investors; the brand’s strength is the effectiveness of its products, and we will build upon that reputation by focusing on quality and performance for the end-user. We have exciting plans for IsoTek in the years to come and look forward to a bright and profitable future.”
IsoTek’s current, multi-award-winning product range will continue in its entirety, to be joined by a number of new components in 2009. The brand will also continue to be distributed worldwide via its established network of distributors, with the addition of a new distributor for IsoTek’s native UK market, Sound Fowndations Ltd.
Chris Green, Managing Director of Sound Fowndations Ltd commented, “In the world of hi-fi and home cinema, no power conditioners boast a better reputation than those made by IsoTek. Our aim is to help IsoTek maintain its market-leading position by delivering effective routes to market, so that the brand’s new owners may enjoy a full return on their substantial investment in research, product development and manufacturing.”
Sound Fowndations Ltd will also be responsible for the UK distribution of audio components and accessories produced under the Blue Horizon brand, the first of which is due in March 2009.
