Sony have released what they call ground breaking digital noise cancelling headphones the MDR-NC500D.
If you like your music loud or indeed travel a lot and want to travel in piece then these are the headphones for you. By blocking out the loud engine noise experienced inside an aircraft cabin, noise cancelling headphones can not only help travellers to sleep, they also help to eliminate one of the key causes of flight related headaches and ensure a more comfortable and relaxing journey.
Sony have even done some research from Israel’s Bnai Zion Medical Center, an estimated 100 million people suffer from headaches associated with air travel each year. Almost 20 percent of people who reported flight related headaches said they suffer headaches every time they fly.
The new Sony MDR-NC500D is the world’s first set of digital noise cancelling headphones, capable of eliminating up to 99 percent of ambient noise. And Sony tell us these are the best noise cancelling performance available. Up until now, all noise cancelling headphones have been built on analogue technology but the MDR-NC500D headphones use digital processing and advanced artificial intelligence to more accurately block unwanted noise in different environments.
