Sennheiser today announced that their PXC 350 High-end Active Noise Reduction travel headphones will be re-priced from £229.99 to £179.99. According to Sennheiser the original price of £229.99 was too close to the range-topping £300 PXC 450 and most purchasers spent the extra cash and went for the very best.
As a result Sennheiser has globally re-priced the PXC 350 to £179.99, which makes it tremendous value in itself and especially against direct competitors which cost £200 to £300 or more.
In terms of audio quality, noise reduction and features, this is one of the world’s best noise-cancelling headsets!
The superb sound can be attributed to three different Sennheiser design factors:
1. Adaptive baffle damping guarantees consistently good and bass. No boom tizz as with many of this type
2. The patented Duofol diaphragms prevent unwanted resonances, guaranteeing crisp, crystal-clear sound.
3. NoiseGard noise compensation technology actively neutralises unwanted noise: a tiny microphone mounted on
the outside of the headphone picks up ambient noise, a processor calculates and superimposes the relevant phase
inverted sound. The result: the two acoustic signals cancel each other out and the unwanted noise no longer reaches
the user’s ear. The NoiseGard Advance system featured in the PXC 350 reduces noise by up to 85 per cent and the
filters, microphones and processor have been optimised to deliver the high level of performance.
