Sennheiser has launched a new pair of high-end wireless headphones with the RS 220.

The company claims the open-back design can match the abilities of high-end wired rivals using digital wireless transmission coupled.
It receives its battery charge by sitting on a cradle at the top of a transmitter unit when not in use. The unit then connects to your audio source and there are inputs for stereo RCA, digital coaxial and digital optical connections. The headphones come with their own set of RCA cables and a digital coaxial cable.
Sennheiser says a single battery charge should give you six to eight hours of listening time.
Maurice Quarré, Director Product Lifecycle Management at Sennheiser Consumer Electronics , said: "With these digital wireless headphones, we have succeeded for the first time in combining wireless music enjoyment with high-end quality.”
The Sennheiser RS 220 should go on sale in September, price still to be confirmed.
