Marantz introduces a new mid-range product: the SR5001.
The SR5001 is an AV receiver compatible with all HD signals ranging from 720p through 1080i and 1080p. It’s equipped with two HDMI inputs and one output with video switching as well as three component inputs and two outputs. S-Video Sources and composites will hence be converted up to component video.
The audiophiles will appreciate the 32-bit DSP (Digital Signal Processing) that decodes Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES, DLP IIx, CSII, DTS 96/24 and more. A Crystal 192 kHz/24-bit DAC (Digital Analogic Converter) is in place for each of the seven channels and there’s also a Pure Direct mode which turns off high noise video components and display.
A multi-zone functions allows you to simultaneously play a different source in another room. What’s more is there’s a Flasher In, IR Emitter Out, DC trigger out and RS-232C communication port meaning the SR5001 is fully custom installation ready.
The Marantz RS5001 will be available this month at around 800€.
