It’s not just the CEDIA UK Expo that’s seeing dramatic growth. We are delighted to report that the CEDIA Australasian Expo 2006 has also been an unqualified success. Held from the 27-29 July, the event attracted a record breaking number of visitors at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Queensland with trade visitor attendee numbers doubling compared to previous years to reach 2,580 (excluding exhibitors).
Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre
The interest from professional exhibitors has really been impressive as floor space doubled in 2006 to reach 5,700sqm and the number of companies on display this year increased from 180 to 300.

The significant growth reflected in these figures is testament to the expansion of both CEDIA and the industry it represents. CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) was started in the United States in the mid 80’s and today has over 4000 members worldwide. The CEDIA UK office, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2006, is responsible for the development throughout Europe, Africa, Middle East, Russia and India with over 400 members. The CEDIA Australasia Zone not only includes Australia and New Zealand, but also China, Japan and the rest of South East Asia.
