After the lunch of their new flagship DV9500 machine, Marantz comes with a more affordable solution named DV7600 which is priced at ₤700. Most disc formats are present, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD-RW. Video conversion comes via HDMI – which is PAL and NTSC progressive scan compatible. Both machines share noise shaping video and 6 channels 24-bits/192 MHz audio DAC.
All this looks formidably similar to the “big” DV9500. Now the differences…Instead of the 14-bit video DAC present on DV9500, DV7600 comes with a 12-bit/216 MHz.
The machine will be available during the spring 2005 in the UK
