High Performance Integrated Unit
Just a quick one to let know that Yamaha have launched a new integrated unit – the RX-Z1.
Anxious to develop their products, Yamaha here have unveiled a real high performance product. The RX-Z1 is indeed compatible with most new multi-channel audio formats including Dolby Digital–EX, Dolby ProLogic II, DTS-ES Discrete, DTS-ES Matrix 6.1, DTS 96/24 and Neo 6.
In terms of power, this machine disposes of no less than 870 Watts RMS pumping out as 130 watts through each of the six channels, as well as 45 watts for the two channels dedicated to front house effects.
In addition, it has a highly elaborate internal DSP section which tables 41 different programmes. Don’t forget the compatibility with DVD Audio! The RX-Z1 is equipped with D/A converters (192 kHz/24bits) that are applied to all the channels (Main Left/Right, Center, Rear Left/Right, Rear Center, Front Effect Left/Right as well as the two subwoofers).
The RX-Z1 Is equipped with four component plugs, including one output which is dedicated to HDTV video output. It’s worth adding that
Yamaha include eight optical inputs (two outputs), three fixed coaxials that can be addressed at will, as well as a good ol’ RF AC-3. I’ll let you imagine the number of composite and S-Video plugs proposed on the beast!
Sold with a touch-screen remote control, known as the RAV, the RX-Z1 will be on the store shelves here in Europe in April for a price of around US $2799.
