Sound and Image Technology Exhibition

It’s all happening from Tuesday 23 ‘till Thursday 25th October … the 19th edition of SATIS. This annual event, that took place in the same location last year (see report) at Paris’s Porte de Versailles Hall 3, will thus be opening its doors to the public an professionals alike – all keen on seeing the latest on show.
This exhibition will host a large number of players in the audio-visual sector as well as the realms of cinema and internet (e-cast exhibition). In addition, the organisers offer visitors the chance to take part in meeting forums (public/pros), dedicated to different cinema activities as well as satellite, and more particularly this year, the 4th international forum of multi-channel sound.

Also in this new edition, SATIS will be organising, in partnership with the big hitters in the sector (through conference sessions and demonstrations), a forum of more than 300 professionals (sound engineers, mixers, editors, directors, etc.) to discuss their experiences.

According to Radio France, TF1 and France Television, the auditoriums of JOINVILLE will this year open the doors of their new site at BOULOGNE for two days of conferences and debates supported by cinema, TV and DVD screenings, in 5.1 format.

It’s worth underlining that among the important list of participants, the organisers expect to be welcoming Tomlinson Holman the man behind the THX label (who wants an autograph?).

Afternoon: Multichannel sound for TV.
Evening: Surprise Cocktail.

Friday 26th October
Morning: Multichannel sound in Cinema.
Afternoon: Multichannel sound on DVD video, DVD audio and SACD support.
Evening: Decision Makers’ Round Table.
