A PSX 2 for 300 Euros

A few whispers around the place, more or less confirmed, are talking about a drop in the price of the Playstation 2 in the near future. While the price had already come down to 425 Euros, the PS2 looks set to sell shortly for around 300 Euros. This 125 Euro reduction should be a thrill for those among us who1d been waiting to equip themselves with this type of interactive platform.

According to these "rumours" this price drop is due to the imminent and simultaneous arrival on the market of the X-Box and Game cube consoles. The objective is of course for Sony to reinforce the penetration of the PS2 console in the European marketplace, and especially in France. This marketing move thus arrives at the right time to counter the arrival of the competitors.

This battle, that had until now only been played out through technical characteristics will soon be played out in the supermarkets.
