Who hasn’t dreamt of one day owning electronic gear made by Accuphase... While the company is well known in the area of High Fidelity, they’re now attacking that of the Home Cinema market, marketing one of the biggest monsters ever designed, the PX-600.

It’s with the same family airs as its sidekicks of the same brand that the PX-600 proposes, under its outer skin, electronics that could be compared, by the meticulousness and beauty of design, to the work of a fine Swiss watchmaker.
100 watts on 6 channels under 8 ohms, or 150 with the same number of channels under an impedance of 4 ohms for a THD of 0.15%. Pretty convincing arguments for this power amp. Through its usual esoteric nature, only a few controls are visible on the front panel – but wow… what a look! Three big VU meters which, once the machine is pumping, would be quite capable of hypnotising the best of us with the to and fro movement of their needles.
While resolutely targeting the Home Cinema market, this PX-600 is nevertheless “audiophile” quality, integrating electronics worthy of the title, as a toroidal transformer pumping out a total of 700 VA which, for the occasion, is married to two giant condensers, carrying the weight of the beat at 31.2 kg.
