For mono-lamp
We’ve uncovered, on the internet site of the Norwegian manufacturer, Davis, a little programme that’s very useful indeed, allowing you to calculate – automatically, and right down to the last inch – all the useful distances to correctly configure your video projection system.
This software, very light when it comes to downloading, is very easy to use. Moreover, it is configured according to the characteristics of the entire range of Davis projectors. Being that Davis is the supplier of electronic components to brands such as Dream Vision and Toshiba, we are able to indicate hereunder the correspondences between lenses and projectors that turn out to be the same.

For example, with Dream Vision DL 500, DL 500 StarLight, MovieStar and Toshiba TDP490E, all you have to do is use the same settings as the Davis DL 450, as they use the same lens.
As for the Dream Vision MovieStar Plus, it disposes of the same lens as the Davis DLX10 or the DLX650.
It is thus possible to determine, with precision, the maximum or minimum distance required for an image of 2 metres at the base, or even to know what is the maximum and minimum image size you can expect if the projector is placed, for example, 5 metres from the screen.
