Sonos System Software 3.6 is a free software update which can be downloaded through the Sonos system via your home Wi-Fi network.

The free Sonos Controller for Android app now allows you to control your system via an Android-powered tablet. Previously it was only available for smart phones. The new version also comes with alarms, improved music library management and Twitter integration.

The new Spotify interface now allows you to access your Spotify inbox and view, as well as play the latest releases on Spotify and top recommended tracks.

Sonos Labs is a new area of the Sonos interface will allows you to access new music services in beta mode, before they’re officially launched on the system. The new Sonos Music API makes it easier for developers of streaming services to integrate the products with Sonos, so it’s expected that yet more streaming music services, such as Soundcloud and Mixcloud, will become available on Sonos, and if they do, they’ll show up in Sonos Labs first.
