Danish speaker manufacturer Scandyna has announced a new upgrade to its striking Minipod speaker – the first in in 20 years.

The Minipod MkII boasts an improved crossover and brand new drive units. The 12.5cm mid/bass driver has been redesigned and now comes with a four-layer aluminium voice coil designed to improve efficiency.
The upgraded crossover has been adapted specifically to cope with the capabilities of the new driver and, taking account of the improved bass response to drop the frequency range down to 2,700Hz from 3,000Hz.
The Minipod MkII is available now in three standard colours – black, red or white – for £549 a pair. Other colours are available on request.
