The bad new is that the Toshiba 55ZL2 will go on sale in Germany – the company has yet to confirm a UK release.

Toshiba claims the screen will allow up to nine viewers to watch 3D content at the same without the need for glasses. It will use built-in face-tracking technology as well as the company’s own CEVO engine.

It will use an array of lenticular lenses to calculate multiple viewing points from stereoscopic images. It will also display 2D content in four times (Quad) Full HD resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels.

It will also include the Toshiba Places web portal, support for HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV), USB connectivity and auto picture calibration.

Prices are yet to be confirmed.
