Acoustic Energy has unveiled its new Compact mini monitor speaker, making its debut at the Bristol Show.

The Compact lives up to its name and has a traditional MDF cabinet with extensive bracing, a “clean signal path crossover” and two brand new drivers.
There’s a wood fibre bass/mid driver which uses Acoustic Energy’s conical dust cap and is topped with a soft-dome tweeter.
The Compact 1 is the first in the series, due to be joined later in the year by the Compact Centre and Compact Sub to create a full 5.1 surround system. Each will be available in either piano gloss black or real wood veneer finishes.
The Compact 1 will be available soon for “under” £150.
