The Atlona AT-AiR3 is the third generation of the company’s wireless USB–to-HDMI converter, and offers a full 1080p wireless signal. The company claims it’s the only device capable of doing so.

Once plugged into a PC, Mac or laptop via its USB plug it can transmit images and sound up to 30 feet, offering streaming content from Hulu, YouTube, and other sites, as well as stored content and computer-based learning programs such as Rosetta Stone or lynda.com online training.

Joshua Carlson of Atlona Technologies said: “There is a strong demand for a unit capable of a wireless 1080p signa. With quick and easy installation, the new unit opens up a world of possibilities for home, business, and educational users, providing a cost-effective and convenient solution for integrating PCs and laptops into HD A/V systems.”

Both HDMI and VGA output connections are active at the same time, allowing the unit to power up to two displays simultaneously with identical content. In addition, the AT-AiR3 can connect up to four receivers to a single transmitter, making an ideal solution for educational environments, as well as for localized digital signage and retail applications.
