Online streaming service Spotify is now available on Logitech Squeezebox network music players.

The service has to be individually optimised for each brand of streaming player and is then available via download. Squeezebox Touch or Squeezebox Radio owners with a Wi-Fi home network can now access Spotify’s huge online catalogue of over 10 million songs and play them back anywhere in their home.
The system won’t work with the free version of Spotify however, and you’ll need a Spotify Premium subscription, which incidentally offers higher-quality 320Kbps sound, as well as mobile access and some exclusive music content.
Romain Du Gardier, senior product manager for Logitech EMEA, said: "Whatever music you like, from wherever in the world, Spotify and Squeezebox make it even easier for you to sit back, listen and relax in any room in your home.”
A beta version of the Squeezebox Spotify app is available now from MySqueezebox.com, with a full version expected soon. Spotify is currently available in Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
