Following AirPlay announcements from B&W, Denon and Marantz comes the iW1 system from iHome.

The iHome iW1 is a one-piece active speaker system that can stream music as well as track metadata and album art from iTunes via AirPlay using a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. It has a capacitive-touch control panel, integrated carry handle and iHome’s own Bongiovi Acoustics DSP signal processing with Class D amplification.
Inside are two 3in woofers and two 1in tweeters and it can stream from a PC or Mac, or an iPod/iPhone/iPad, with control via whichever portable device you’re using.
It comes with a standalone iPod/iPhone dock that can be connected using a standard USB cable and includes a rechargeable battery.
The iHome iW1 will go on sale in the UK in the summer for £299.
