Preparing the launch for the European market, Qriocity is the brand name given by Sony for their Media On Demand service.
Qriocity is a two part system the first is a video on demand service accessing directly via TV, Blu-ray and PS-3 a massive array of movie and video content in SD and HD, and Music Unlimited which is a cloud based service with millions of songs and artists.
Sony has joined with many new partners to offer a massive level of media for use and once entered into the log in page you browse through and make your selection. You then have two weeks to view after purchase and once you start viewing you have 48 hours to view it many times as you wish.
It uses a Graphical User Interface with a smart thumbnail overview menu which when selected offers a synopsis of the film or media selected, then with a touch of a button will stream the content to your Sony monitor.
The system is already launched in America and is due to launch throughout the rest of Europe soon.
