Spotify’s streaming music service could be on its way to UK TVs following its launch on TVs in Sweden and Finland this month.
Spotify has partnered with TV provider TeliaSonera to launch the service, which is making an app available to premium subscribers to access a streamlined version of the service through their TVs.
The move marks a new direction for the popular audio streaming service, which also offers limited video content.
There’s been no announcement yet of a similar service for the UK, but with other internet apps for TVs such as Sony’s Bravia Internet Video and Samsung’s Internet@TV already available, it surely can’t be far away, both for TV and for games consoles.
