Denon is upgrading its well established D-M37DAB mini system with the D-M38DAB.
The system includes amp, CD player and speakers, plus a new direct digital input to offer optimum playback quality from iPods and iPhones. This USB input is on the front panel and music will start playing as soon as it’s connected, instantly reverting to the last track played.
It’s fully Made For iPhone and Works With iPhone compliant and will charge each of the Apple goodies while it plays as well as allowing them to be controlled via the remote.
The sound from the digital input uses the same DAC as the system’s built-in CD player and DAB/DAB+ tuner (the DAB+ bit is new too), plus there’s an FM/AM tuner on board, two sets of analogue inputs and tape out, a subwoofer preout and a headphone jack.
The amp offers 2×30 watts of power through the speakers and there’s an alarm and sleep timer too.
The Denon D-M38DAB goes on sale in black or silver in July for £330.
