Budget audio brand TEAC’s latest mini system cum iPod dock is the AURB SR-100.
With a style every bit as distinctive as the considerably higher end B&W Zeppelin or Meridian F80, the new device has a retractable iPod dock at the front, a slotloading CD player on top and an FM tuner too. It also comes with auxiliary and USB inputs.
The two-way stereo speakers include 8.9cm mid/bass drivers and a 32mm tweeter, with bass-reflex tuning, all powered by a 2×50-watt amplifier.
It’s got Made For iPod certification and it will charge your ‘Pod while it plays, as well as controlling it via the AURB’s remote control.
Other devices can be plugged into the USB port and it can handle MP3 and WMA files this way, though not AAC.
The TEAC AURB is on sale now for £249.
