French projection screen manufacturer Screen Research has introduced its new top-of-the-range Reference X-Mask2 projection screen range.
The new professionally-installed screens replace the X-Mask range, and promise a slimmer, more elegant design, an improved masking system, and THX-certified acoustically transparent masks that allow viewable image masking without compromising audio performance.
The flush-housing SlimFrame design means the profile is reduced by 30 per cent and Screen Research claims the reduced distance between masks, frame, and the projection surface minimises any shadow cast on the projection surface.
Installers will be pleased that the new design has apparently reduced the on-site installation time by approximately 50 per cent.
Yves Trélohan, founder of Screen Research, said: “The Reference X-Mask2 series is definitely a major improvement on our successful range of masking systems for fixed screens. Together with the use of our patented mask guidance mechanism, it includes all the newest features and options required for the perfect answer to more demanding high-end home theatre applications.”
