The latest example of Altec Lansing’s computer speaker systems is the snappily-named VS4621.
The distinctive looking 2.1 speaker system is designed for computers, laptops, MP3 players and TVs and replaces the VS4121 series. It includes a pair of downward-firing 3in mid/bass drivers which are designed to be placed on a hard surface to disperse the sound. It also features two 1in micro drivers for treble, a large 6.5in side-firing subwoofer and a 3.5mm aux input.
Adrian Bedgood, Altec Lansing’s consumer marketing manager, said: “With digital media playing a bigger role in our daily lives, we designed this compact computer speaker with a wide range of users in mind. “The down-firing drivers combined with a compact design delivers a well balanced sound regardless of what type of music, game or movie is being viewed.”
The Altec Lansing VS4621 will be available from 20 April for £60.
