Classé Custom Theatre Electronics

25 janvier 2010

Canadian brand Classé has launched Custom Theatre Electronics, a new series of high-end home cinema components.

The new range is based on the firm’s existing Delta series and is designed to fit into reassuringly expensive home installations. It comes with a distinctive new-look design and innovative cooling system to facilitate rack mounting.

Classé CT-SSP

The Intelligent Cooling Tunnel built into the components incorporates an exceptionally large aluminium bonded-fin heatsink, a design that’s more common to critical medical equipment than home entertainment, which permits faster heat dispersion and features a surface area of almost 10m2. The solid aluminium faceplates include an offset panel with a large hidden for the ICTunnel (as they’re calling the technology).

The CT-SSP ten-channel preamp/processor with single-ended and balanced connections for all channels and is a new-look version of Classé’s SSP-800.
The CT-5300 is a five-channel amplifier offering 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms and the CT-2300 offers the same power but is designed to be added to the 5300 to expand the system.

Two monaural power amplifiers are also in the range – the CT-M600 offers 600 watts while the CT-M300 offers, you guessed it, 300 watts.

All models are available now:

  • Classé CT-SSP preamp/processor: £6,950
  • Classé CT-5300 power amp: £7,450
  • Classé CT-2300 power amp: £5,450
  • Classé CT-M600 monoblock amp: £5,450
  • Classé CT-M300 monoblock amp: £4,150
