Bifröstec D'Egg speakers

11 décembre 2009

The D’Egg speaker measures 140×140×235mm and weighs 2.6kg, including its stand which fortunately is included in the price (it’d be pretty hard to stand it up otherwise).

Its moulded plastic casing is designed to negate standing waves, and houses a single full-range 9cm driver which the company promises an exceptionally wide listening angle of up to 240 degrees, and offers a frequency range of 70Hz-20kHz.

Now on sale in Japan, it’s available in black or white as the TGA-1B1 and TGA-1W1 for Y105,000 (£730) per pair or in a special Kagami Crystal glass version which offers a see-through look for a frankly scary Y315,000 (£2,200).

Japanese company Bifröstec was founded in 2006 by former Sony engineers. The name comes from the bridge between the world of men and the world of the gods in Norse mythology and the company claims to be aiming to create new and forward-looking technologies in both audio and video realms.
