Computer accessories manufacturer Logic3 has announced the ScreenBeat USB, a metal speaker designed for use with laptops and netbooks.
The cylindrical speaker measures a compact 32×206×24mm and is made of tough but lightweight aluminium. Its USB connection doubles up as the power supply and in-built sound card. Logic3 claims it’s fully compatible with all Mac, PC and Linux-based computers.
It’s capable of delivering three watts of sound from its twin drivers and has a not particularly broad frequency range of 200Hz-15Hz. Designed for travel, it comes in a compact protective case so that it can be safely stored when not in use or during transit.
