LG has launched a new combined Blu-ray player and 5.1 audio system, the HB954SP.
It offers full HD playback backed by 1000 watts of power and 5.1 channels delivering to five oval shaped speakers. It also features 1080p upscaling, audio tuning by hi-fi guru Mark Levinson, BD Live capability for accessing web-based extras from compatible Blu-ray movies, and quick access to selected online content including YouTube.
There are two HDMI sockets and a dock for playing and charging your iPod or iPhone, augmented by LG Sound Gallery, which offers seven different playback options for tweaking the sound to your personal preferences.
The HB954SP will go on sale in November but there’s no word on price yet.
